Our Vision
RareCalc is a tool that combines large databases with advanced machine learning algorithms to help diagnose patients with possible rare disease. Too many patients are passed from provider to provider, and answers are sparse. No one should have their suffering prolonged. RareCalc is free for patient and provider use.
Story Time.
Our most recent success story filled us with joy that a patient was finally diagnosed after ten years of looking for answers. However, at the same time, we were alarmed that this diagnosis took one night, whilst this patient was pushed aside by so many people. Her symptoms started out as recurring joint pain along with uveitis. Her uveitis almost made her blind. With an addition few symptoms such as Factor V Leiden, RareCalc was able to suggest Bechet's as a possible disease. This patient confirmed this with her rheumatologist and finally received answers and a more directed treatment.
